GEOMETRIC DESIGN OF SPHERE

While I was able to apply my pre-exisitng knowledge of architectural construction techniques, the complexity of this job required furthering my knowledge and skills.

As this is the first large scale spherical building of its size, most of the materials and construction techniques were to be be continually developed as the ‘norm’ was not contextually applicable

MEP + OPERATIONS

Worked directly with engineers and architectural professionals to complete any outstanding services coordination for planning submission.

Given the geometry of the building, the services layouts called for creative intervention as there were no precedents for a spherical building of this size.

When I took ownership of the top 12 levels, the previous information that I had learnt regarding services coordination was critical to resolve very difficult spaces.
